Self taught freelance photographer and retoucher, Simon has always had an ability to learn quickly. In the last year his semi-professional photography status has become professional. Simon has been published by the Liverpool Daily Post, Capital of Culture magazines and many websites have used his images. He’s currently involved in documenting Liverpool, speaking engagements on Urban Photography and running Urban Photography workshops in the Liverpool area.

Tuesday's Artist is Full of Grace: Todays featured illustrator Alice

Since completing her MA in illustration and book design Alice has freelanced in London, illustrating magazines including State of Play and The Idler, CD covers for Southern Records and the jazz label Babel, along with work for Banksy's "Pictures on Walls” screen printing operation. Her most recent project is designing book covers for publishers Hamish Hamilton and Pan Macmillan.

Alex graduated with a BA (HONS) in Graphic Communication with Typography from Plymouth University, he now lives in Bristol where he works as a graphic designer. Alongside this he was involved in an exhibition in Plymouth in September 2008 where he exhibited 4 giclee prints as part of the launch of a new art collective called ‘Graphic Expressionism’. Neil has been working as a Freelance Illustrator since 2004 and gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at Liverpool John Moores University. He currently works from his studio at the Bluecoat in Liverpool. He has recently created work for the Guardian, Converse, the Bluecoat art centre and Adidas. His current works focus on a variety of commercial works including public and Private Installations, Drawing, Print Making, Character Design, Graphic Novels, Editorial Illustration and Children's Books. Todays featured artist: International Photographer Jason

Jason began his career as a graphic designer at Generator Digital Post in Venice, California. Whilst there he assisted on photo shoots and discovered he had a passion and unique talent for photography. 

And so he began photographing what he loves most in life, surfing, music and girls. Jason secured a position as a staff photographer for Transworld Surf Magazine in October 1999 and became the magazines exclusive photographer for the portraiture and annual bikini issues.

Todays featured artist: Joe

Everyday we have a featured artist on our home page, today it's Joe.

Joe graduated with a Degree in Fine Art specialising in figurative sculptures based on dancers and athletes, creating them from stone carving and metal welding.  Since his studies, he has taught art to secondary school students going on to lecture fine art and life drawing. One of Joes most memorable pieces of work to date is that of the cult comedy duo The Mighty Boosh, which was one of the first illustrations he created. After receiving such positive feedback he was inspired to develop his own style.  Influenced by Tank Girl and Gorrilaz illustrator Jamie Hewlett, music videos, fashion magazines, photographer Nick Kinght, Japanese art and 60's and 70's culture, Joe is not only a unique and very talented illustrator but an experienced photographer, web and graphic designer too.

Illustrator F.B just sent me this T shirt design, he was asked to create it for the Manchester based multi award winning youth project 'Reclaim'  - nice!
