Everyday we have a featured artist on our home page, today it's Joe.
| Joe graduated with a Degree in Fine Art specialising in figurative sculptures based on dancers and athletes, creating them from stone carving and metal welding. Since his studies, he has taught art to secondary school students going on to lecture fine art and life drawing. One of Joes most memorable pieces of work to date is that of the cult comedy duo The Mighty Boosh, which was one of the first illustrations he created. After receiving such positive feedback he was inspired to develop his own style. Influenced by Tank Girl and Gorrilaz illustrator Jamie Hewlett, music videos, fashion magazines, photographer Nick Kinght, Japanese art and 60's and 70's culture, Joe is not only a unique and very talented illustrator but an experienced photographer, web and graphic designer too. |
